360 One Asset Management has raised Rs 1,000 crore to invest in defence, space, aerospace and allied strategic technologies.
The fund will follow a multi-stage approach from venture, to growth, to late-stage private equity and pre-IPO opportunities.
The fund will invest in 15-20 companies. Of the total corpus, it aims to allocate 20% to venture investments, 30% to growth, and 50% to late-stage and pre-IPO deals.
The fund has already made four investments including defence electronics firm Project Celesta and L-band synthetic aperture radar satellite platform Project Spectra.
According to government data in 2023, the Indian space economy was valued at around $8 billion with a 2% share in the global space economy.
India’s space economy has the potential to reach $44 billion by 2033 with about 8% of the global share.
360 ONE Asset manages over $10 billion across alternative investment funds (AIFs), portfolio management services (PMS) and mutual funds.
