AI startup Anthropic is preparing to go for an initial public offering (IPO) as early as 2026, the Financial Times reported.
The company has already hired Wilson Sonsini to help initiate the process for the public float.
Anthropic is also looking to raise a new funding round at a valuation of $300 billion, the report said.
Earlier in September, Anthropic had raised $13 billion as part of its Series F funding round led by ICONIQ. The financing round was done at a post-money valuation of $183 billion.
Anthropic, which was founded in 2021 by a group of former OpenAI employees, has become one of the highest valued AI startups.
Notably, Anthropic's plans to go for an IPO comes as OpenAI is also preparing to go public that could value the company at up to $1 trillion, the Reuters reported in October.
