Anthropic said it has raised $13 billion as part of its Series F funding round led by ICONIQ.

This financing round was done at a post-money valuation of $183 billion, said Anthropic in a statement.

The funding round was co-led by Fidelity Management & Research Company and Lightspeed Venture Partners, it added.

Other  investors in this round included Altimeter, Baillie Gifford, affiliated funds of BlackRock, Blackstone, Coatue, D1 Capital Partners, General Atlantic, General Catalyst, GIC, Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Insight Partners, Jane Street, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, Qatar Investment Authority, TPG, T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc., T. Rowe Price Investment Management, Inc., WCM Investment Management, and XN.

The fresh capital will help the AI startup expand its capacity to meet growing enterprise demand. A portion of the funds will also be used to deepen its safety research and support international expansion.

Anthropic, which was founded in 2021 by a group of former OpenAI employees, have become one of the highest valued AI startups.

At the beginning of 2025, less than two years after launch, Anthropic’s run-rate revenue had grown to around $1 billion.

"By August 2025, just eight months later, our run-rate revenue reached over $5 billion," it noted.

The startup had last raised $3.5 billion at a $61.5 billion post-money valuation in March.

The fresh fundraising comes as competition heats up with rivals OpenAI, xAI  and Perplexity. Meta's aggressive AI push in the past two months has further intensified the competition.
