The Bengaluru-based SaaS firm posted a net loss of Rs 9.6 crore during the quarter, compared to a net profit of Rs 0.7 crore in Q1 FY26.

Capillary Technologies reported a 42.7% year-on-year jump in revenue from operations to Rs 256.6 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 179.9 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

The Bengaluru-based SaaS firm, which listed on the bourses late last year, posted a net loss of Rs 9.6 crore during the quarter, compared to a net profit of Rs 0.7 crore in Q1 FY26, according to its quarterly financial results filed with the stock exchanges.

The company’s performance was impacted by an exceptional charge of Rs 33.4 crore related to a cyber-enabled banking fraud at its Czech Republic subsidiary, which pushed it into losses despite reporting a jump in profit before exceptional items and tax to Rs 24.8 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 5.5 crore in the same quarter last year.

Its total expenses increased 33.5% to Rs 216.3 crore during the quarter as compared to Rs 162.1 crore in Q1 FY26. Employee benefit expenses, the company’s largest cost component, rose 39.8% to Rs 119.8 crore from Rs 85.7 crore a year earlier.

Founded in 2008 by Aneesh Reddy, Krishna Mehra, and Ajay Modani, Capillary Technologies provides cloud-native loyalty, CRM, and customer engagement solutions to more than 465 brands across 53 countries.
