Darwix AI, a generative AI platform for enterprise sales and service conversation across all channels, has raised $1.5 million as part of its seed funding round from a bunch of institutional and individual investors.
Rebalance, IPV, JITO Incubation and Innovation Foundation, Growth Sense, and Growth91 were the institutional investors in the funding round, it said in a statement.
The seed funding round also saw participation from angel investors including Ankit Nagori, Sanjay Suri, Amit Lakhotia, and Mekin Maheshwari.
Darwix AI, operated by CUR8 Ventures Pvt. Ltd, will use the fresh capital to develop its product and expand its market, it added.
The startup, which was founded in 2022 by Ajay Sethi and Hanit Awal, said it is building the generative AI backed product suite to transform omni-channel sales engines across the globe.
"This fundraise gives us the fuel to double down on product innovation and expand our presence in the United States,” said Sethi, who has previously worked at venture capital backed firms PayU and CARS24. Co-founder Awal was previously with venture capital-backed B2B e-commerce platform Udaan.
According to a recent BCG report, India's domestic AI market is expected to reach more than triple to $17 billion by 2027.
The report also said that India's startup industry is keeping pace with the AI development in the country and many of the startups are focused on solving uniquely Indian challenges using AI, making them globally relevant.
