DheyaTech, a deep-tech startup developing micro gas turbine engines, has raised Rs 43 crore in its pre-Series A funding round led by Avaana Capital.

Unimech Aerospace and Manufacturing participated in the funding round.

The fresh capital will be used to expand manufacturing capacity, establish a fully integrated testing facility, and accelerate commercial deployment of its engine technology with customers. The startup is also advancing its efforts to secure independent airworthiness certification for its gas turbine engines under CEMILAC-DRDO.

Founded in 2024 by former GE Aviation and Rolls-Royce engineers Sushant Pattnaik, Sandeep Shah and Pavan Kumar, DheyaTech develops indigenous gas turbine engines for aerial mobility and energy applications. The startup is focused on reducing India's dependence on imported engines while advancing fuel-flexible and hydrogen-powered propulsion technologies.

"The next generation of Indian deep-tech companies will not just adapt technologies developed elsewhere; they will build globally relevant platforms from the ground up," said Vikas Verma, Partner at Avaana Capital.

The funding comes amid rising investor interest in India's aerospace, defence and deep-tech sectors. Recent deals include Optimized Electrotech raising $6 million in Series A funding, BigEndian Semiconductors securing $6 million for its fabless chip platform, and HrdWyr closing a $13 million Series A round to develop AI-native semiconductor technologies.
