A group of former Tesla executives has established a new artificial intelligence startup that specializes in providing data center solutions across various sectors including automotive and robotics industries, the Bloomberg reported.
The company, known as DensityAI, is preparing to emerge from stealth mode and is currently in discussions to secure funding in the hundreds of millions range.
The venture was established by Ganesh Venkataramanan, who previously led Tesla's Dojo supercomputing initiative, alongside former Tesla colleagues Bill Chang and Ben Floering.
Venkataramanan had left Tesla in 2023. Tesla developed the Dojo supercomputer to process large-scale data and video from its cars for advancing autonomous driving technology.
Their combined experience from Tesla's advanced computing projects positions them to address the growing demand for specialized AI infrastructure services across multiple industry verticals.
