The Bengaluru-based startup will use the fresh capital will be used to scale its voice AI platform, strengthen product capabilities, and expand its enterprise footprint across domestic and international markets.

Gnani.ai, a voice AI firm, has raised Rs 68 crore (around $7.17 million) in its fresh funding round led by Aavishkaar Capital, the Entrackr reported citing filings with the Registrar of Companies (RoC).

The Bengaluru-based startup will use the fresh capital to scale its voice AI platform, strengthen product capabilities, and expand its enterprise footprint across domestic and international markets.

Gnani.ai was founded in 2016 by Ganesh Gopalan and Ananth Nagaraj. Gopalan, who serves as CEO, holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech and previously worked at Texas Instruments and Cisco. Nagaraj, the CTO, also brings deep expertise in signal processing and AI research.

The startup offers a voice-first generative AI platform that helps enterprises automate customer interactions across channels such as voice, chat, and messaging. It provides a no-code, omnichannel AI suite with capabilities including conversational automation, agent assist, voice biometrics, and analytics, enabling businesses to improve customer experience and operational efficiency at scale.

Earlier this year, Gnani.ai launched its voice-to-voice foundational model, Inya VoiceOS, marking its entry into India’s sovereign AI stack. Gnani.ai was selected as part of the second cohort of AI startups under the IndiaAI Mission last year.

In FY25, the company reported revenue of Rs 53.87 crore as compared to Rs 23.09 crore in FY24, while turning profitable with a net profit of Rs 3.19 crore, compared to a loss of Rs 51 lakh in the previous fiscal.

Prior to this funding round, Gnani.ai had raised Rs 30 crore (around $4 million) in its Series A round from Info Edge Ventures in July 2024.

The conversational and voice AI space in India has been witnessing strong investor interest.

Earlier this month, conversational AI platform VerbaFlo raised seed funding led by Pi Labs. Other key funding in the space this year includes Bolna AI and RinggAI.
