Poggipolini Group, an Italian hi-tech hardware manufacturer, has acquired a majority stake in Indian aerospace components manufacturer Aero Fasteners Pvt Ltd for an undisclosed amount.
Aerospace Fasteners, which has manufacturing facilities at Rohtak, Haryana, will continue to operate under its existing management following the stake sale.
The Indian firm manufactures high-quality components and critical fasteners used by the aerospace, space and defence industries across India and abroad. It had generated Rs 33.6 crore in revenue for the fiscal year ended March 2025, according to Tracxn.
The acquisition marks the Italian engineering and manufacturing giant's entry into India's aerospace and defence manufacturing market.
The deal will enable Poggipolini to expand its presence in India and the Asia Pacific region. It plans to scale the Indian startup's design and manufacturing capabilities for producing high-value fastening systems, and sell to global customers and Indian aerospace original equipment manufacturers (OEM).
The Italian company was founded in 1950, and specialises in high-precision components manufacturing using titanium and special steel alloys. It provides specialty fasteners, precision parts and integrated systems for aerospace, motorsport and automotive industries globally, and is placed among the top ten manufacturers across the world in this market.
The majority of the company's revenue comes from international markets. It has used acquisitions as a way to drive its global footprint in the past, such as when it acquired Italy-based Aviomec in 2022, and the US-based Houston Precision Fasteners in 2024.
