Lambda strikes multibillion-dollar deal with Microsoft

Nvidia-backed cloud computing company Lambda said that it has signed a multibillion-dollar agreement with Microsoft.
As part of the agreement, tens of thousands of Nvidia GPUs, including Nvidia GB300 NVL72 systems, will be deployed.
The exact size of the deal was not disclosed.
“It’s great to watch the Microsoft and Lambda teams working together to deploy these massive AI supercomputers,” said Stephen Balaban, CEO of Lambda.
“We’ve been working with Microsoft for more than eight years, and this is a phenomenal next step in our relationship," added Balaban.
Microsoft also announced a $9.7 billion deal for AI cloud capacity with IREN, an Australian data center business, this week.
Interestingly, OpenAI, in which Microsoft is an investor, also signed a $38 billion cloud computing deal with Amazon Web Services this week.
