Nprep, an AI-powered personalised exam preparation app for nursing applicants, has raised $1.5 million in a seed funding round led by early-stage venture capital firm Lumikai.
The startup's existing investors All In Capital, Velo Partners, DSP Group Family Office, as well as angel investors including Viren Shetty, Executive VC of Narayana Health, participated in the funding round.
The fresh capital will enable the startup to improve its AI-powered learning platform, add more exam preparation content, and reach a wider user base.
Nprep was founded by Gourav Khurana, Utkarsh Paliwal and Prince Kaushik in 2024 to cater to Indian nursing candidates who want to prepare for government entrance exams or for healthcare career opportunities abroad.
The platform hosts over 1,400 hours of video content that is tailored into curated learning plans based on a user's learning goals.
"The edtech industry is being rewritten with AI. Past efforts were built upon the physical coaching industry without any personalised guidance. We at Nprep see AI working in conjunction with the teaching talent to revolutionize healthcare education and career advancement," said Prince Kaushik, co-founder, Nprep.
The startup had previously raised an undisclosed amount in a funding round led by All In Capital, and participated by IIMA Ventures, Chegg founder Aayush Phumbhra, and several family offices and angel investors in August 2025.
Lumikai invests in founders building India's interactive media, digital platforms and games. The venture capital firm offer cheque sizes between $200,000 and $2 million to 15-20 early stage startups in these sectors.
