Nvidia is developing a new and more powerful chip for China than the H20 model which it is currently allowed to sell in the country, the Reuters reported.
The new chip, which is tentatively called as B30A, will be single die in nature.
This means that the new chip will not be as powerful as its flagship B300 Blackwell GPU that uses the dual-die design.
The new chip will come with high-bandwidth memory and Nvidia's NVLink technology for fast data transmission between processors. These features are also in the H20 chips.
Last week, the Financial Times reported that Nvidia and AMD have agreed to hand over 15% of its high-end AI chip revenues from China to the US government in exchange for export license.
The report also said that the government has started issuing licenses to the two companies for the sale of the chips.
Nvidia had stopped selling its H20 chips to China after the Donald Trump administration had restricted sales of the chips to the Asian country.
