OpenAI has raised $110 billion in a mega funding round at a pre-money valuation of $730 billion.
Of the total amount, the ChatGPT maker received $50 billion from Amazon, and $30 billion each from Softbank and Nvidia, said OpenAI in a blogpost.
The AI startup added that it has also signed a strategic partnership with Amazon and secured next generation inference compute with Nvidia.
The Sam Altman-led AI startup also said that additional investors are expected to join as the round progresses.
"SoftBank, Nvidia, and Amazon are long-term partners who share our ambition to turn real scientific progress into systems that deliver meaningful benefits for people at global scale. Building AI that works for everyone will require deep collaboration across the stack, and we’re excited to do this together," said Altman in the blogpost.
ChatGPT currently has more than 900 million weekly active users and over 50 million consumer subcribers. It added that January and February this year are set to be the largest months for new subscribers in its history.
Funding in Generative AI startups continues despite fears of a AI bubble.
Earlier this month, OpenAI's rival Anthropic raised $30 billion in its Series G funding led by GIC and Coatue at a post-money valuation of $380 billion.
