OpenAI has launched its affordable version of ChatGPT subscription plan in Indonesia after recently rolling out a similar version in India.

In an X post, Nick Turley, head of ChatGPT, OpenAI, said that the AI startup is launching ChatGPT Pro in Indonesia at Rp75.000 per month ($4.5).

"It's exciting to see the rapid adoption of AI in Indonesia, which is already one of ChatGPT’s top five markets by weekly active users. If you’re in Indonesia, try ChatGPT Go and let us know what you think," he added.

He explained that subscribers of  subscribers of ChatGPT Go get 10× higher message limits, 10× more image generations, 10× more file uploads, and double the memory compared to its free plan.

Earlier this month, Google launched its own affordable AI Plus subscription plan in Indonesia, underlining the Southeast Asian nation as a major market for the tech giant to sell their AI offerings.
