QNu Labs raises Rs 200 crore in Series A1 round led by National Quantum Mission, Speciale Invest

QNu Labs, a deep-tech cybersecurity startup, has raised Rs 200 crore in its Series A1 funding round led by India’s National Quantum Mission and Speciale Invest.
The round also saw participation from Sony Innovation Fund, Gaja Capital, Artha Ventures and other investors.
The Bengaluru-based startup will use the fresh capital to accelerate research and development, expand sales and go-to-market operations in India and overseas, and strengthen its quantum-safe cybersecurity portfolio. The funds will also support QNu Labs’ contribution to India’s Quantum Secure and Sensing Networks project, along with expansion into quantum sensing and artificial intelligence.
QNu Labs was founded in 2016 by Sunil Gupta and Srinivasa Rao Aluri. The company develops quantum-safe cybersecurity solutions designed to protect organisations against current and future threats to encryption posed by quantum computing. Its solutions are deployed across government, critical infrastructure and BFSI sectors.
Sunil Gupta, co-founder and CEO of QNu Labs, said the company has spent more than a decade developing its quantum-safe technology stack and that the latest investment will help India build sovereign cybersecurity capabilities while expanding into global markets.
Gopal Jain, co-founder and managing partner at Gaja Capital, said quantum-safe security is becoming critical infrastructure and noted that QNu Labs is now entering a scaling phase. Speciale Invest’s Vishesh Rajaram said the firm’s earlier conviction that quantum-safe security would move into mainstream adoption is now playing out as governments and enterprises prepare for the quantum era.
Before this round, QNu Labs had raised around Rs 175 crore across previous funding rounds. The latest Rs 200 crore investment takes its total capital raised to approximately Rs 375 crore.
