Photonic quantum technology startup Quanfluence has raised $10 million in a funding round led by Chiratae Ventures.

The round also saw participation from Rainmatter by Zerodha and existing investor Pi Ventures.

The Bengaluru-based startup will use the fresh capital to build and launch a four-qubit quantum computer in the near term, while working towards a larger photonic quantum computing prototype with around 100 qubits by 2029.

Founded in 2021 by Sujoy Chakravarty, Ravi Mehta, Biman Chattopadhyay, Anil Prabhakar, Aditi Vaidya and Sandeep Goyal, Quanfluence is building photonic quantum computing solutions for optimisation and decision-making applications across sectors such as logistics, workforce management and financial services.

Quanfluence last raised $2 million in a seed funding round in December 2024 led by Pi Ventures, with participation from Golden Sparrow, Reena Dayal and other investors.

The quantum technology sector is attracting growing investor interest in India. Recently, QpiAI raised $32 million in a Series A funding round, while QuBeats secured $15 million in its first institutional funding round.
