Venture capture firm Sequoia will be investing in Anthropic's fresh funding round along with Singapore's GIC and US investor Coatue, the Financial Times reported.
The newspaper said that Anthropic, the AI startup behind the Claude chatbot maker, is aiming to raise $25 billion at a $350 billion valuation.
This comes after media reports recently said that Anthropic has attracted GIC and Coatue as investors for its new funding round.
The funding round is expected to be separate from the $15 billion Nvidia and Microsoft have committed to invest in Anthropic.
The AI startup had last raised $13 billion as part of its Series F funding round earlier in September last year led by ICONIQ. The financing round was done at a post-money valuation of $183 billion.
Last month, the Financial Times reported that Anthropic was preparing to float its initial public offering (IPO) as early as this year.
Anthropic, which was founded in 2021 by a group of former OpenAI employees, has become one of the highest valued AI startups.
The massive funding round underscores persistent investor interest in the AI boom even as chatter around the AI bubble is rampant.
OpenAI, Anthropic's rival, was valued at $500 billion in a secondary share sale last year and has reportedly held talks with investors to raise tens of billions of dollars.
