Deep-tech startup Solinas Integrity has raised $5.5 million in a Series A1 funding round co-led by Mela Ventures and Hero Enterprise Family Office.

The funding round also saw participation from Luthra Group and follow-on investments from existing investors SVL-SME Fund (managed by SBI Ventures Limited), Rainmatter Capital, and 8X Ventures Fund I.

The Chennai-based startup will use the fresh capital to expand its manufacturing capacity, accelerate product development, strengthen its software infrastructure, and support working capital needs. It also plans to deepen its presence in international markets, particularly the Middle East and Southeast Asia, while developing new products for the water, sanitation, industrial, and defence sectors.

Founded in 2018 by IIT Madras alumni Divanshu Kumar and Moinak Banerjee, Solinas Integrity develops robotics and AI solutions for underground water, wastewater, and sanitation infrastructure. Its products are deployed across more than 30 cities and 15 states in India, with international deployments including Dubai Municipality.

Commenting on the fundraise, Co-founder and CEO Divanshu Kumar said the company has validated its technology and business model across multiple cities and contracts and is now focused on building India's largest technology company in the underground asset management space. He added that Solinas is also expanding into adjacent sectors such as oil & gas and defence.

Prior to this round, Solinas had secured an undisclosed investment from climate-focused Neev Fund II, managed by SBICAP Ventures, with participation from Rainmatter Capital in 2024. Earlier, the startup raised around $550,000 in a seed funding round in 2022 from investors including 8X Ventures, Lister Ventures, Sophonos Investment, and Chetan Mehra.
