Voice AI startup Smallest.ai has raised $8 million in a seed funding round led by Sierra Ventures.
The funding round saw participation from 3one4 Capital, Better Capital, Upsparks Capital, Schema Ventures, Tiny VC, and several angel investors.
The seed investment round was oversubscribed, said Sudarshan Kamath, co-founder, Smallest.ai, in a LinkedIn post.
The fresh capital will be used to expand its presence across retail, healthcare, and technology sectors.
The startup, which was founded last year by Sudarshan Kamath and Akshat Mandloi, is a full-stack Voice AI platform purpose-built for enterprise deployment. It says that it trains its own models like Lightning V2 and control the full application layer.
"We are transforming voice AI from the ground up -- pushing agents to pass the Turing test in the coming years," said Kamath in a LinkedIn post.
Voice AI startups have attracted significant venture capital interest in the past year with companies such as Navana.ai and Gnani.ai having raised funding.
Earlier this month, GreyLabs AI, a voice AI platform focused on the BFSI sector, raised Rs 85 crore in its Series A funding led by Elevation Capital.
