Workroom Automation has raised Rs 6.2 crore in a seed funding round led by Equirus InnovateX Fund.
The funding round also saw participation from Astir Ventures, Venture Catalysts Group, and angel investors Bhavik Dholakia, Vishal Shah, Varun Patel, Viraj Lavingia, and Bhavin Sodavadiya.
The Hyderabad-based process automation platform plans to use the new funds to further develop its product and core platform, and broaden go-to-market initiatives. It will also improve on its artificial intelligence (AI) planning engine, automation capabilities, and drive integrations with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and shopfloor workflows.
Workroom Automation, which was founded in 2022 by Abhinav Atthota (CEO) and Rohan Agarwal (CTO), provides an AI-powered centralised platform for manufacturing enterprises to collect, interpret, collaborate on, and analyse factory-floor data that manufacturing enterprises can use to automate workflows.
It helps enterprise users track production, run operations, conduct quality control (QC) and simulate scenarios across their manufacturing processes. The company was founded by Abhinav Atthota and Rohan Agarwal to bring visibility into complex factory operations that run on a fragmented stack of ERP systems, MES, machines, spreadsheets and manual processes.
"Manufacturing enterprises today do not suffer from a lack of software or data, but from a lack of context and connected intelligence across their operations. This funding round accelerates our vision to build Workroom as the single intelligent operating system for modern manufacturing," said Atthota.
