Technology-led affordable housing finance company Aham Housing Finance has raised Rs 100 crore in a follow-on funding round led by The Sanmar Group.
The funding round also saw participation from existing investor Negen Capital.
The Chennai-headquartered firm plans to deploy the fresh capital to scale its loan book, widen its reach in underserved housing segments, strengthen operations in current markets, expand into new regions, and enhance its technology capabilities.
Founded in 2017 by Venkatesh Kannappan, Aham Housing Finance focuses on providing housing finance solutions to customers who often have limited access to formal credit channels. Before starting the company, Kannappan held senior positions across banking and housing finance institutions for more than two decades.
The company offers affordable home loans and loan-against-property products to low- and middle-income households, with a particular focus on self-employed borrowers and first-time homebuyers. Its operating model combines technology-led underwriting, local distribution networks, and disciplined risk assessment to serve customers across smaller cities and towns.
Prior to this round, Aham Housing Finance had raised nearly $3.6 million in funding in 2023.
