Atomberg-backer Inflexor Ventures marks first close of third fund at Rs 400 crore

Early-stage venture capital firm Inflexor Ventures said it has marked the first close of its third fund with commitments worth Rs 400 crore.
The third fund -- Inflexor Technology Discovery Fund -- has a target corpus of Rs 1,250 crore.
The fund is anchored by Self-Reliant India Fund, HDFC Asset Management Company, and HDFC AMC Select AIF FoF, with participation from international institutional investors. It did not reveal the names of the international institutional Limited Partners (LPs).
In a recent interaction with The Head and Tale, Harsha Mundhada, partner at the venture capital firm, had said that it was in advanced discussions with a couple of global institutional LPs for its third fund. The venture capital firm had raised Rs 600 crore for its second fund
The new fund will invest at the pre-Series A and Series A stages, writing initial cheques ranging between Rs 15 crore and Rs 45 crore, with plans to build a portfolio of 22-25 companies.
Inflexor was founded by Venkat Vallabhaneni, Jatin Desai, and Pratip Mazumdar, and focuses on science, engineering, and technology-driven startups across sectors. The venture capital firm currently manages an AUM of around Rs 1,300 crore and has backed 27 companies to date, including Atomberg, Bellatrix Aerospace, CloudSEK, CredFlow, Kale Logistics, and PlayShifu. This new fund follows the firm's first vintage from 2016 and its second from 2021.

Inflexor has already begun deploying capital into a set of early opportunities and expects to announce its first investments from the new fund in the coming weeks.
