Business Nextgen Finance (BNF), a Mumbai-based non-banking financial company (NBFC) focused on secured MSME lending, has raised Rs 215 crore in an equity investment led by Beams Fintech Fund.
The round also saw participation from Baring Private Equity India, Saison Capital Pte. Ltd. and UNLEASH, along with other investors.
Following the transaction, Beams Fintech Fund and its affiliates will collectively hold more than 26% of BNF’s paid-up equity share capital on a fully diluted basis.
BNF will use the fresh capital to expand its secured lending operations, strengthen its technology infrastructure and increase access to formal credit for underserved MSMEs across India. The investment will also support the company’s expansion into underserved MSME markets.
Founded by Pankaj Poddar, BNF received its RBI Certificate of Registration in September 2025. The company is a non-deposit-taking NBFC that provides secured credit facilities to micro, small and medium enterprises, using technology-led processes and credit underwriting to serve underserved MSMEs.
Sagar Agarwal, founder and managing partner at Beams Fintech Fund, said the firm sees a significant opportunity in India’s underserved MSME credit market and believes BNF can build a scalable lending platform by combining technology, disciplined underwriting and customer focus.
