Capital-A marks first close of second fund at Rs 160 crore

Early-stage venture capital firm Capital-A has marked the first close of its second fund at Rs 160 crore.
The second fund has a target corpus of Rs 300 crore with a greenshoe option to raise up to another Rs 100 crore.
The fund has raised capital from domestic family offices and high-net-worth individuals, including Srikar Reddy, Siddharth Bafna, Sekhar Boddu, the Chamaria Group, Steel House Family Office, Avyay Jhunjhunwala, the family office of Vijayalakshmi Agarbathi Works, and the Anand Rathi Group.
The second fund has invested in seven startups so far including Manastu Space, Agrileaf, Misochain, and CraftifAI.
It invests in sectors including deep-tech and hard-tech startups spanning aerospace, robotics, energy transition, and industrial hardware.
Capital-A, which was founded in 2021 by Ankit Kedia, had raised Rs 250 crore for its debut fund.
