Decentro launches Banking Connect integration amid DGGI scrutiny
14 Apr 2026, 12:14 PMThe company claims its pre-built APIs and orchestration layers will simplify onboarding to Banking Connect for participating banks.
Decentro, which is operated by DecFin Tech Pvt Ltd, has launched its integration with Banking Connect. The netbanking payment framework, offered by NPCI Bharat BillPay Ltd, is designed to standardise and streamline netbanking workflows while maintaining the security and compliance standards required for high-value transactions.
Decentro's upcoming integration will enable businesses to access these capabilities through its developer-first platform.
Decentro founder and CEO Rohit Taneja said, "With Banking Connect enabled via NPCI Bharat BillPay Ltd and delivered through Decentro's APIs and orchestration layer, businesses can simplify complex banking integrations while maintaining compliance and operational control. We are ready to bring this capability to market."
The API infra company claims its pre-built APIs and orchestration layers will simplify onboarding to Banking Connect for participating banks. It also provides reconciliation tools, reporting dashboards, and consolidated transaction tracking as part of its TSP layer. It also supports desktop-initiated and mobile-authorised netbanking payments, enabled through its API and workflow stack.
The Bengaluru-based Decentro recently came under the scanner of the Hyderabad unit of the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI).
The Y-Combinator and InfoEdge-backed firm was among the three fintech firms, including Rugr and Blume-backed IppoPay -- part of wider investigation into suspected GST violations tied to a high-value online betting case.
As per TOI report, the DGGI search operations that wrapped up in the last week of March, Decentro's Bengaluru premises were found locked and later sealed by authorities over concerns that evidence could be tampered with.
The company holds a payment aggregator licence (both online and offline) from the RBI. Its application for cross border payment aggregator was returned in April last year.
