The merged entity will operate under the InsuranceDekho brand and will be led by founder and CEO Ankit Agrawal. Founders and leadership teams from both companies will continue to be part of the organization, while teams across technology, operations, products, and distribution will be integrated.
The combined platform generated the highest POSP-led insurance premium among AI-driven insurance distributors in FY26. Together, InsuranceDekho and RenewBuy have facilitated the issuance of over two crore insurance policies since their inception.
The new entity manages an insurance premium portfolio exceeding Rs 6,600 crore and works with more than six lakh digital partners. It claims to have a presence across nearly all Indian pin codes, combining InsuranceDekho’s strong foothold in northern and western India with RenewBuy’s reach in southern markets.
The company plans to expand its AI-led insurance distribution model by integrating capabilities from both businesses. InsuranceDekho’s recommendation tools and RenewBuy’s automated onboarding and digital distribution systems are expected to enhance services for partners and customers.
The platform will continue to offer products across motor, health, life, and commercial insurance categories through a multi-insurer marketplace. The focus will remain on simplifying policy discovery, issuance, and advisory services through a mix of digital and physical distribution channels.
In May 2025, the companies had formally signed the share-swap merger agreement and submitted it to the regulators for review.
Later in November, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) officially cleared the antitrust requirements for the transaction.
