Paytm’s Q1 FY27 revenue up 28% to Rs 2,448 crore, profit rises 79%

Paytm recorded a 28% jump in revenue from operations to Rs 2,448 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2026, from Rs 1,918 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

The Vijay Shekhar Sharma-led fintech company's net profit increased 79% to Rs 220 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 123 crore in Q1 FY26, according to the company's unaudited financial results filed with the stock exchanges.

Total expenses of the fintech major grew 18% to Rs 2,383 crore during Q1 FY27 as compared to Rs 2,016 crore in the year-ago quarter.

Employee benefit expenses increased 16% to Rs 742 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 642 crore in Q1 FY26.

Payment processing charges remained the company's largest cost head, rising 37% to Rs 794 crore during the quarter from Rs 581 crore a year earlier. Marketing and promotional expenses also increased sharply by 69% to Rs 169 crore.

In a separate disclosure, Paytm approved the grant of 15.42 lakh stock options under its ESOP 2019 scheme. The company had reported its first full year of profitability in FY26 and has started FY27 with another profitable quarter.
