PB Fintech Q1 FY27 revenue up 40% to Rs 1,348 crore, net profit jumps 92%

PB Fintech, the parent company of Policybazaar and Paisabazaar, reported a 40% jump in revenue from operations to Rs 1,888 crore in the April-June quarter of the fiscal ending on March 31, 2027 from Rs 1,348 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

The insurtech firm's net profit increased 92% to Rs 163 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 85 crore in Q1 FY26, according to the company’s financial results filed with the stock exchanges.

Insurance premium generated through the platform grew 41% year-on-year to Rs 8,372 crore, driven by strong growth in health and protection insurance segments.

Total expenses of the Gurugram-based company grew 33% to Rs 1,800 crore during the quarter, compared to Rs 1,356 crore in the year-ago period.

Employee benefit expenses increased 28% to Rs 716 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 560 crore in Q1 FY26. Advertising and promotional expenses also rose 50% to Rs 379 crore from Rs 253 crore during the same period.

The company’s total income stood at Rs 1,981 crore in Q1 FY27, including Rs 93 crore earned from interest income and gains on financial assets.
