Pine Labs appoints Avendus Capital's Sameer Kamath as CFO

Kamath replaces Marc Mathenz, who exited Pine Labs in June, just before the filing of the draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with Sebi.

Pine Labs has appointed former Avendus Capital executive Sameer Kamath as its chief financial officer. 

In this role, Kamath will be responsible for the global finance strategy, accounting, investor relations, and providing financial leadership across the Pine Labs group.

Sameer Kamath most recently the group CFO at the investment bank Avendus Capital where he led financial management, strategy, risk and compliance. Prior to that, he was also the director and group chief financial advisor at Motilal Oswal.

Kamath replaces Marc Mathenz, who exited Pine Labs in June, just before the filing of the draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with the markets regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). 

The Head and Tale also exclusively reported that Pine Labs' chief growth officer and Brand EMI head Mayur Mulani left the company ahead of its IPO. 

Pine Labs filed the DRHP for its IPO, which comprises of fresh issue of shares worth Rs 2,600 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of up to 14.78 crore shares by existing backers including Peak XV Partners, PayPal and Mastercard.
