Impact investing platform TILT, an initiative of a nonprofit organisation The/Nudge Foundation, has launched a Rs 250 crore venture fund aimed at supporting early-stage startups focused on improving livelihoods and access for India’s Next Billion population.

The fund has attracted backing from the Livelihood Impact Fund as well as prominent entrepreneurs, investors, and philanthropists such as Deep Kalra, Amit Gupta, Hari Menon, Binny Bansal, the Raj & Indra Nooyi Family Office, and Vidit Aatrey.

The fund will primarily invest in Seed to Series A-stage companies, with investment sizes ranging from Rs 2 crore to Rs 16 crore. It will target ventures leveraging technology and scientific innovation across sectors such as agriculture, climate resilience, financial inclusion, employability, MSMEs, informal work, market access, and AI-driven livelihood solutions.

TILT plans to support around 150 startups over the next 15 years, with the broader goal of improving the lives of 100 million people through its investments and ecosystem initiatives.

The fund will provide long-term capital to businesses that often require extended periods to build products, expand distribution networks, and establish sustainable business models. Beyond capital, portfolio companies will receive support in areas including research, partnerships, market creation, and ecosystem development.

Founded by Richa Singh and Atul Satija, TILT builds on The/Nudge Foundation’s work in the social enterprise ecosystem. Over the past eight years, The/Nudge has supported more than 190 social enterprises and deployed nearly Rs 180 crore in grants.
