The Uttar Pradesh government plans to develop a 'fintech park' spread across 250 acres in Sector-11 of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) area.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's government views this initiative as a strategic move to position the state as a leading player in India's digital economy sector, said a statement.
The proposed development aims to bring together various financial technology sectors under one roof, including digital payments, banking technology, insurance technology, investment platforms, blockchain applications, and international money transfer services.
The site's proximity to the Noida International Airport and direct connectivity via the Yamuna Expressway corridor make it attractive for both domestic and international business operations, it noted. The area's links to the Delhi-NCR region further enhance its strategic value for companies seeking nationwide and global reach.
The process of preparing the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the project has begun with an international consulting firm tasked with developing comprehensive project blueprints. This groundwork will outline infrastructure requirements, funding structures, job creation potential, and a timeline for phased implementation. Once completed, authorities plan to release guidelines for land allocation and investor participation.
The project is expected to create numerous positions across banking technology, data analysis, cybersecurity, digital payment infrastructure, and financial software engineering. State officials emphasize their goal of retaining local talent rather than seeing skilled professionals relocate elsewhere for opportunities.
This initiative aligns with the state government's broader strategy to expand beyond conventional manufacturing into higher-value technology sectors.
In 2023, Noida-based global robotics firm Addverb Technologies inaugurated its second, large-scale robot manufacturing facility in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
