Wealthy secures Series B funding led by Bertelsmann

Wealth management platform Wealthy has raised Rs 130 crore in its Series B funding round led by Bertelsmann India Investments.
Alphawave Global and Shepherd’s Hill Group participated in the funding round.
The startup will use the fresh capital to boost it advisor network, enhance its product stack and expand its presence in new markets.
Wealthy, which was founded in 2015 by Aditya Agarwal and Prashant Gupta, says it platform houses over 1000 financial products across mutual funds, stocks, fixed deposits, bonds, insurance, portfolio management services (PMS), and alternative investment fund (AIF). It has increased its assets under management (AUM) from Rs 200 crore to Rs 5,000 crore over the past three years.
Prior to this investment, the startup had raised $7.5 million in its Series A funding round led by Alpha Wave in 2022.
Weatlhtech startups have been getting significant investor interest in India.
In October, Dezerv raised $40 million in its Series C funding round co-led by Premji Invest and Accel’s Global Growth Fund.
