Zaggle to invest in cross-border payments company Unobanc

22 Jul 2026, 11:04 AM

Unobanc adds to a list of strategic or acquisition deals made by Zaggle in the past years.

Fintech and spend management platform Zaggle has committed up to Rs 7.96 crore to acquire a 19.9% stake in cross-border payments and remittances startup Unobanc.

The investment will be made in one or more tranches, subject to completion of the transaction.

The move is aimed at strengthening Zaggle’s presence in international payments and broadening its financial services offerings.

The integration of Unobanc’s international payment infrastructure is expected to complement Zaggle’s existing offerings, including corporate spend management, prepaid cards, employee benefits, rewards, and forex services, while helping create a more unified technology-driven platform.

Unobanc operates a technology-led platform focused on digital cross-border payments and remittances. The company has secured in-principle approval from the Reserve Bank of India for an Authorised Dealer Category-II (AD-II) licence, which will allow it to expand its digital forex and international payment services. It also holds a Fully Fledged Money Changer (FFMC) licence.

Unobanc adds to a list of strategic or acquisition deals made by Zaggle in the past years.

Last year, Zaggle inked a deal to buy spend-management startup Dice Enterprises. In December last year, it also completed the acquisition of Rio Money.

However, earlier this year, Zaggle dropped the plan to buy a majority stake in EffiaSoft, a Hyderabad-based enterprise software company.
