
BillDesk reports decline in FY24 revenue, profits

Payment aggregator firm BillDesk witnessed a 12.8% decline in its FY24 revenue. The Mumbai-based payments major's revenue from operations stood at Rs 2,334 crore during the fiscal year ending March 2024, compared to Rs 2678 crore in FY23.
While BillDesk made 70% money (or Rs 1,591 crore) from processing payments in FY24, around 16% of its earnings came from managing loyalty programmes for clients, while the remainder was generated through the sale of products such as PINS and e-top-up subscriptions, along with other operating activities, reported Entrackr citing the company’s consolidated financial statements with the Registrar of Companies.
Bank fees and services at Rs 1,804 crore accounted for 78.8% of the overall expenditure. Despite the reduced scale, employee benefit expenses rose by 22.4% to Rs 300 crore during the financial year.
The company's total expense stood at Rs 2,289 crore during FY24.
