Easebuzz has received the final approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to operate as an online payment aggregator.

Easebuzz had received in-principle approval for the PA licence in 2022.

The approval allows the company to enhance its existing suite of fintech solutions, which includes payment collection, disbursement, reconciliation, and financial automation tools, the company said in its statement.

Rohit Prasad, MD and CEO at Easebuzz, said, “We are thrilled to receive the final nod from the RBI. This approval strengthens our commitment to providing businesses with a seamless digital payment experience, ensuring security, compliance, and efficiency. As an RBI-approved payment aggregator, we are now in a stronger position to drive financial inclusion and innovation in India’s evolving digital economy.”

Companies like Razorpay, Google Pay, Cashfree, CC Avenue, Innoviti Payments among others have already secured the PA licence over last two years. And, of which, Zomato has already surrendered its licence.

Easebuzz claims it processes an annualized gross transaction value (GTV) of $30 billion, serving more than two lakh businesses, including small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and startups.

Founded in 2014, Easebuzz provides payment solutions such as payment collections, disbursals, automated reconciliation, vendor payments, and sub-merchant management through API-based solutions.

The company -- which according to sources -- has closed its about $25 million funding round, had last raised $4 million in April 2021. Easebuzz claimed that its revenue grew to Rs 290 crore in FY24.
