Indian listed fintech company MoboKwik said it has elevated Saurabh Dwivedi to the position of Chief Technology Officer and Dhruv Wadhera to Senior Vice President (SVP), Offline Payments.

In his new role, Dwivedi will lead engineering for four divisions: payments, financial services, core platform and infrastructure and information security, said MobiKwik in a filing with the stock exchanges.

Dwivedi will work on MobiKwik's initiatives on AI assisted product development, efficient collections and customer delight as the company seeks to focus on leverage AI.

Dwivedi had joined MobiKwik in August 2023 as Senior Vice President - Engineering for the company's payments division. The company said that he played a pivotal role in establishing high-performing engineering teams, enhancing infrastructure scalability and building new products.

Wadhera had been leading the MobiKwik’s Offline Payments vertical since June 2023. Under his leadership, the company deepened its on-ground presence and enabled millions of small merchants to adopt digital payments, it said.

“As we scale new heights, it’s vital we have strong leaders at the helm of both technology and distribution. Both Saurabh and Dhruv have demonstrated the acumen to serve our users with excellence, build with foresight and lead with integrity," said d Bipin Preet Singh, co-founder, MD & CEO, MobiKwik.

MobiKwik made a strong debut on the bourses in December last year and its share prices continued to gain momentum post listing as well, touching a high of Rs 698  per share. However, the stock has since cooled off, and now trades around Rs 245 per share.

Earlier this week, South Africa-based Net1 Applied Technologies exited its investment  MobiKwik after nearly eight years at a loss.
