MobiKwik FY25 revenue jumps but swings into losses

Payments company MobiKwik has reported its financial results for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2024-2025 (Q2 FY25) and full fiscal year. The company's operating revenue for full fiscal year FY25 stood at Rs 1,170 crore, an increase from Rs 875 crore in FY24.
For the quarter ended March 31, 2025, the Gurugram-based fintech has posted Rs 268 crore in revenue from operations, against Rs 269 crore reported during Q4 FY24.
For the full fiscal, the company's total expense stood at Rs 1,272 crore, compared to Rs 853 crore in FY24.
On the expense side, payment gateway charges were the largest cost center at Rs 554 crore during FY25, against Rs 201 crore reported during FY24. Employee benefits cost were about Rs 170 crore in FY25, which increased from Rs 116 crore in FY24. Lending operational expenses declined from Rs 270 crore in FY24 to Rs 176 crore in FY25.
While for the Q4 FY25, the company's total expense stood at Rs 324 crore, compared to Rs 317 crore in Q3FY25.
On the expense side, payment gateway charges were at Rs 147 crore during Q4, against Rs 144 crore reported during Q3. Employee benefits cost saw a significant jump during the quarter to Rs 41 crore from Rs 25 crore reported during Q3. And, lending operational expenses remained flat at Rs 43 crore in Q4 from Rs 44 crore in Q3 FY25.
The Gurugram-based company swung to losses in FY25. It booked Rs 121.5 crore in losses during FY25, compared to Rs 14 crore in net profits posted during FY24.
For Q4 FY25, MobiKwik reported Rs 56 crore in losses, compared to a loss of Rs 55 crore in Q3 FY25.
MobiKwik claims it has a registered user base stood at 176.5 million and 4.4 million merchants, as of March 31, 2025. The company’s payment of GMV has also surged to Rs 33,100 crore.
