Fundamentum Frontier Advisors (F2A) has raised Rs 3,000 crore for a fund focused on growth-stage companies in artificial intelligence (AI) and deeptech.

The fund has attracted capital from domestic and international investors through two regulated investment vehicles, with Nandan Nilekani joining as an anchor investor and mentor.

It has also raised its hard cap to Rs 3,500 crore following strong investor demand. The fund had initially targeted a corpus of Rs 2,000 crore, with a Rs 1,000 crore greenshoe option.

Led by general partners Ashish Kumar, Debraj Banerjee and Vivek Singla, F2A plans to invest in 12-15 companies over the next two to three years. Individual investments are expected to range between Rs 100 crore and Rs 200 crore.

The investment strategy covers AI-driven consumer businesses, enterprise software, AI applications, deeptech infrastructure and engineered systems. F2A will target companies that have established their technology and are looking to expand their customer base across India and international markets.

Beyond providing capital, F2A plans to help portfolio companies scale their operations, strengthen intellectual property and build relationships with customers, strategic partners and talent. Its focus is on businesses moving from technology validation to commercial expansion.
