Google rolls out Gemini's Personal Intelligence feature in India

Currently, the feature is available to AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers in India.

Google has launched the Personal Intelligence feature for its AI assistant Gemini in India.

The feature allows users to connect their Google accounts, including Gmail and Google Photos, and ask Gemini questions to receive personalised responses based on their own data, it said in a blogpost.

For example, users can ask about travel plans, and Gemini will pull relevant details from emails or images. It can also reference recently watched YouTube videos to suggest ideas. Google said responses will include source references so users can verify the information.

Currently, the feature is available to AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers in India. The company said it plans to expand access to free users in the coming weeks.

Google first introduced Personal Intelligence in the US earlier this year, initially for select paid users before expanding it to all users. The feature has also been launched in Japan.

The company said Gemini may not always interpret context accurately and could draw incorrect connections between unrelated data. It added that users can correct such assumptions by providing feedback.

The rollout is part of Google’s broader expansion of Gemini features in India. In recent weeks, the company introduced Gemini in Chrome and enabled AI-based restaurant booking through partnerships with Zomato, Swiggy, and EazyDiner.
