InsideFPV executes Rs 10 crore defence contract to supply indigenous drones

Drone technology manufacturer InsideFPV said it has executed a Rs 10 crore defence contract to supply its indigenously built Kamikaze Drones.
The order, which was primarily driven by the Indian Ministry of Defence under the Emergency Procurement Route, was completed in just two months, it said in a statement.
InsideFPV, which was founded in 2020 by Arth Chowdhary, Deyvant Bhardwaj and Oshi Kumari, specialises in FPV kamikaze, interceptor, and GPS-denied systems for India’s defence sector. It develops tactical unmanned systems capable of high-altitude and extreme-temperature deployments.
"Our Kamikaze and FPV systems were engineered specifically for India's harshest deployment environments, functioning reliably in temperatures dropping to -35°C," said Chowdhary, CEO, InsideFPV.
"Executing this order in just two months proves that we can meet the Ministry of Defence's exact operational timelines without compromising on volume or precision," added Chowdhary.
To keep pace with rising demand, the Gujarat-based startup is scaling up manufacturing with a new 20,000 square feet facility, aiming to move from hundreds to thousands of units.
Earlier this year, InsideFPV raised Rs 6 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by GVFL.
India’s drone startup funding scene is steadily gaining traction driven largely by defence demand, government incentives, and increasing enterprise use cases in agriculture, logistics, and infrastructure. Policy tailwinds such as the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme has helped de-risk the sector and attract capital.
