Voice AI startup Navana.ai has raised Rs 40 crore in its Series A funding round led by existing investor Ronnie Screwvala.

The funding round also saw participation from Sharad Sanghi, Antler India, Sandeep Singhal and Paula Mariwala.

The startup will use the funds to expand its BFSI deployments, strengthen Indian-language speech models and scale its AI Contact Centre platform. Navana.ai has processed over 100 million Voice AI minutes for leading BFSI players.

Founded in 2018 by brothers Raoul Nanavati and Jai Nanavati, Navana.ai builds Voice AI solutions for enterprises, with speech models covering 12 Indian languages and 45 dialects. Raoul is the co-founder and CEO, while Jai is the co-founder and CTO.

Raoul Nanavati, Co-Founder and CEO of Navana.ai, said, “From day one, Navana.ai’s mission has been to democratise access to digital services for every Indian, irrespective of where they live.” He added that the company sees Voice AI as a key layer for meaningful automation and aims to take its sovereign AI infrastructure to the next stage with leading BFSI enterprises.

Ronnie Screwvala said Navana.ai is addressing the linguistic complexity and diversity of India that large global and generalised AI models are not built to handle. He added that as Voice AI becomes part of India’s digital infrastructure, data security and regulatory compliance will be critical considerations for enterprises.

Last year in July 2025, the startup had raised Rs 7 crore in a pre-Series A round led by Antler India, with participation from Ronnie Screwvala, Ajay Agarwal and Sandeep Singhal.
