Physical AI startup SwitchOn has raised $8 million (around Rs 78 crore) in a pre-Series B funding round led by IvyCap Ventures.
The funding round saw participation from SIG Tattva and Trifecta Capital.
The startup will use the fresh capital to expand its international presence, strengthen research and development capabilities, and scale its go-to-market operations across manufacturing sectors.
Founded by Aniruddha Banerjee and Avra Banerjee, SwitchOn builds AI-powered quality inspection systems for manufacturers. Its flagship product, DeepInspect, uses computer vision to detect defects in real time and is used by companies such as Unilever, Bosch, Maruti Suzuki, and ALPA across multiple industries.
Commenting on the fundraise, co-founder Aniruddha Banerjee said the company is focused on building AI-driven systems that automate quality inspection and help manufacturers achieve zero-defect production.
Prior to this funding round, SwitchOn had raised $1.1 million in seed funding and $4.2 million in its Series A round.
The funding comes amid growing investor interest in Physical AI startups. Earlier this month, Hakimo raised $12 million from existing investors Zigg Capital and Vertex Ventures among others.
