WATER Robotics bags seed funding led by Endiya Partners

The funding round also saw participation from India’s national badminton coach Pullela Gopichand, Darwinbox co-founder Rohit Chennamaneni, Swiggy co-founder Nandan Reddy and other angel investors.

WATER plans to use the fresh capital to strengthen its research and development efforts, while a portion will go towards collecting data.

Founded in 2024 by Teja Vinukollu and Haneesh Mourya Desu, WATER is building what it describes as an intelligence layer for physical surfaces. The company's technology combines sensors, AI-based decision-making and physical actuation to allow surfaces to respond dynamically to how people interact with them.

At the centre of the system is VORTEX, WATER's foundational model for understanding how the human body interacts with physical environments.

The startup is currently applying the technology to two products: FLOW, an adaptive chair focused on posture, movement and load, and CAMA, an adaptive bed designed around sleep, recovery and respiration.

Unlike conventional furniture with sensors added to it, WATER's approach is to make the physical surface itself responsive. The company says its systems can sense changes in the body and adjust the surface accordingly.

The company has already built CAMA to a near-production stage and showcased the adaptive sleep system at CES 2026.

WATER's longer-term ambition extends beyond chairs and beds. It wants to build an intelligence layer that could power adaptive environments across sectors such as automotive and aviation, where physical systems could respond dynamically to the people using them.
