Voice-first AI tutoring platform YoLearn.ai has raised $500,000 in a pre-seed funding round co-led by DataAlpha.ai and White Swan Global.
The round also saw participation from a group of angel investors.
The startup will use the fresh capital to scale its AI tutoring products, including a voice-first audiovisual tutor with live sketchpad capabilities, and to expand distribution across India's school and competitive exam ecosystem.
YoLearn.ai was founded by Kirti Prakash Mishra and launched in January 2025. It offers voice-first AI tutoring with a live interactive sketchpad, letting the AI tutor draw diagrams and explain concepts aloud like a teacher at a whiteboard. The platform serves K-12 students across NCERT, CBSE, ICSE, and state boards, with usage concentrated among Grades 9-12 students preparing for board exams alongside JEE, NEET, and CUET.
It supports voice interaction in 22 Indian languages, including Hindi and Hinglish, and offers AI tutor personas modelled on popular educators, along with "AI Avatar" versions of real teachers for partner schools. Available via web and as native apps on Android and iOS, the platform says it has crossed 200,000 cumulative users.
