The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has provisionally attached movable and immovable properties worth Rs 442.35 crore in its money laundering investigation into online gaming platform RummyCulture and entities linked to Gameskraft Technologies.
The attachment order, issued on September 25 under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), covers fixed deposits, commercial shops, a villa and residential properties held in the names of family members, private family trusts and entities associated with shareholders of Gameskraft, the ED said.
The agency said the total value of proceeds of crime attached, frozen and seized during the investigation so far stands at around Rs 2,843 crore.
The ED's investigation covers Gameskraft Technologies and RummyTime Technologies, which operated online real-money games through brands including RummyCulture, RummyPrime, Playship and RummyTime. The agency said the platforms had around 3 crore users across India.
According to the ED, a significant number of users were from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, where online real-money gaming is prohibited. The agency has alleged that the platforms used automated programmes, or bots, against users without their knowledge, resulting in financial losses and generating proceeds of crime.
The ED has also alleged that the companies used promotional schemes, bonuses and other incentives to encourage users to continue playing and that the proceeds were subsequently routed through dividend payments and share buybacks and invested in financial instruments and properties.
The case has also involved the arrest of Gameskraft founders Deepak Singh, Prithvi Raj Singh and Vikas Taneja. The ED arrested the three on May 8, 2026. The Karnataka High Court subsequently declared the arrests illegal and ordered their release.
The investigation is ongoing, the ED said.
