Flexprice, an open-source billing and metering platform for artificial intelligence (AI) and agentic companies, has raised $1.5 million in a seed funding round led by Shastra VC.

Anupam Mittal founder of People Group and existing investor TDV Partners also invested in the funding round, a statement said.

The New Delhi-based startup will use the fresh capital to accelerate its expansion across the US and Europe, while also building new AI-driven financial products spanning metering, revenue recognition, and financial reporting workflows.

Flexprice, which was founded in late 2024 by Manish Choudhary, builds open-source usage-based billing infrastructure designed for AI-native and API-first companies. Its platform helps businesses manage real-time billing for token consumption, API calls, GPU usage, and hybrid pricing models without vendor lock-in.

The company said its revenue grew six-fold in the last quarter, while event processing volume increased 20 times over the past year to more than 20 billion events per month. Its infrastructure is currently being used by several fast-growing AI startups globally.

Commenting on the investment, Avijeet Alagathi, managing partner at Shastra VC, said that traditional billing systems are struggling to support modern AI-driven business models, creating demand for flexible and real-time infrastructure solutions.

Flexprice CEO Manish Choudhary added that the company aims to build a complete AI-native revenue automation stack beyond billing infrastructure.

Flexprice had previously raised its first funding round in July 2025, which was primarily used to strengthen its engineering team, expand integrations with payment gateways, and grow its open-source ecosystem.
