Goldman Sachs sold 53.37 lakh shares of Eternal, the parent company of Zomato and Blinkit, for Rs 168.67 crore in a block deal on October 15.

The shares were bought by BofA Securities at Rs 316 apiece, representing around 0.05% of Eternal’s paid-up equity, per stock exchange data.

The transaction follows a series of large share sales in August, when BNP Paribas Financial Markets and Integrated Core Strategies (Asia), an affiliate of Millennium Management, collectively offloaded Eternal shares worth nearly Rs 3,265 crore.

Eternal reported revenue from operations of Rs 20,211 crore in Q1 FY27, up from Rs 7,167 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Net profit increased to Rs 92 crore from Rs 25 crore, although it declined from Rs 174 crore in the preceding quarter.

For FY26, the company’s operating revenue rose to Rs 54,364 crore from Rs 20,243 crore in FY25. However, net profit declined to Rs 366 crore from Rs 527 crore.

Eternal operates Zomato’s food delivery business and Blinkit’s quick commerce platform. Blinkit competes with Swiggy Instamart and Zepto in India’s rapidly expanding quick commerce market.
