InCred Alternative Private Investments, the alternatives arm of InCred Capital, has closed its debut special opportunities credit fund at its hard cap of Rs 1,500 crore.

The fund -- InCred Special Opportunities Fund-I -- drew commitments from domestic family offices, ultra-high-net-worth individuals, and overseas investors.

The Category II close-ended AIF (alternative investment fund) will invest in old-economy businesses that offer hard asset backing, predictable cash flows, and built-in downside protection. A significant 75% of the corpus has already been put to work across sectors including auto, power, oil and gas, and hospitality.

The fund's closure takes InCred Alternatives' total capital mobilised to over Rs 4,000 crore across its performing credit and special situations books combined.

InCred Alternatives launched its private credit platform in 2022 and has since built a track record spanning deal origination, credit underwriting, active portfolio monitoring, and regular income distribution to investors.

The broader InCred Capital platform focuses on giving investors access to a diversified suite of alternative investment strategies across private market opportunities.
