Peak XV Partners announces 18 startups for new Surge cohort

Peak XV Partners has announced the 12th cohort of its seed-stage accelerator Surge programme, with 18 startups.
The selected startups, three of which are in stealth mode, are building across AI, robotics, space, consumer, healthcare, music and fintech, a statement said.
The startups in the new cohort include Puralink, which is building autonomous robots that navigate underground pipe networks, and ULOOK, which is building autonomous satellite systems for radio-frequency sensing and spectrum intelligence from space.
The cohort also includes Alma, which is building an AI-native personal computing platform; Reinforce Labs, which is working on evaluation, red-teaming and remediation for enterprise AI systems; and hiloop, which is building infrastructure for post-training open-weight models.
On the consumer side of the cohort, Ditto is building a dating platform, Wingit is focused on premium beauty consumers in India and Riffle is developing a browser-based platform for creating and collaborating on music.
The cohort also includes founders with backgrounds at companies such as Airbnb, Microsoft Research, Google and India's recently minted unicorn Sarvam AI.
"What stands out about Surge 12 is that these founders are building these companies on first principles. They are questioning whether the underlying experience should work that way at all," said Rajan Anandan, managing director, Peak XV Partners.
Meanwhile, TechCrunch citing Anandan reported that Peak XV has also raised the investment ceiling for its Surge programme to $5 million, up from $3 million.
