RPS Ventures, an early backer of e-commerce platform Meesho, has sold 3.86 crore shares in the company for about Rs 900 crore through a block deal.

The investor, through RPS WOS II LLC, sold 3,86,13,960 shares at Rs 233 apiece, amounting to a 0.83% stake in Meesho. The deal was valued at Rs 899.71 crore.

RPS Ventures, founded by former SoftBank Vision Fund managing partner Kabir Misra, held a 1.12% stake in Meesho as of June 2026. After the latest sale, its holding is estimated to have fallen to around 0.29%.

The shares were picked up by several domestic and overseas institutional investors. The Government of Singapore was the largest buyer, purchasing 1.32 crore shares worth around Rs 307.5 crore, while Mirae Asset Mutual Fund acquired 77.21 lakh shares valued at Rs 179.9 crore.

Other buyers included Societe Generale, BNP Paribas, Fidelity Advisor Overseas Fund, Citigroup Global Markets Singapore, Norges Bank, Ghisallo Master Fund, Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore, WhiteOak Capital Mutual Fund, Bajaj Life Insurance and Edelweiss Mutual Fund.

The sale comes amid a series of stake exits by Meesho's early investors. Earlier this month, SoftBank sold 8 crore shares, or a 1.73% stake, for Rs 1,650.4 crore. In August, Peak XV Partners and Elevation Capital together sold a 2.27% stake for around Rs 1,949 crore, followed by Y Combinator's Rs 970 crore stake sale.

Meesho's operating revenue grew 48% year-on-year to Rs 3,713 crore in Q1 FY27. Its net loss narrowed 54% to Rs 133 crore from Rs 289 crore a year earlier.
